A night out at this South London hotspot is a truly religious experience. Located in a converted church, Mass' reputation for quality music has been founded on the back of their promotion of totally diverse nights from the likes of drum and bass pioneers, Movement, to the banging hard house of Tasty. There are three different venues in the building, with the crypt housing funky DJ Bar Boogaloo, a medium-sized hall filled with vast speakers which calls itself Third Base, and the main two-room Mass Club, with its fantastic sunken dancefloor. All three are run separately, and host different kind of nights, but there are also occasions when a big party takes over the entire place, making it one of the area's largest clubs. Hard Dance and Drum 'n' Bass are the main music genres, while the smaller venues focus on soul, reggae, hip-hop and house.
