The Village East has three function rooms; the largest can hold a maximum of 100 guests, the smallest is ideal for 18.
Located on the edge of Bermondsey's 'Creative Quarter' (a regenerated area of 2-bedroom flats mostly inhabited by lawyers and estate agents), Village East is an ambitious bar and restaurant. It's in an absolutely gorgeous building, created from a chunk of a Victorian warehouse and a section of a new glass-and-steel apartment block, and even the bland pine-and-chrome minimalism of the decor can't spoil the exciting variety of the rooms. The food is equally impressive, with fine British ingredients - clearly making the most of nearby Borough Market - imaginatively combined, and with some unusual Central European influences which make a nice change from standard Anglo-Med gastropub fare.
