It's worth venturing all the way to Balham for this comedy club - it's a class act. The legendary Banana Cabaret has run every Friday and Saturday at The Bedford for 25 years and continues to churn out consistently good performances. Popular with the likes of Harry Hill, it has emerged as a favourite in the comedy circuit. The line-up varies from one show to the next in this hugely friendly club where you'll feel at ease to roar with laughter alongside your fellow punters. The Bedford has a fabulous little roundhouse setting stashed away at the back of the pub. The audience sits in a mini auditorium, with tables, chairs and a buzzing atmosphere. Food and alcohol is served throughout and when the last laugh is had you can dance to the Mirrorball/Monkeyfunk DJs till 2 am (entry to the club is free if you've paid to get into the comedy). The door policy is first come, first served. It does get busy so we recommend you head down their early, nab a seat, grab a beer and wait to be entertained. It's a hoot.
