Jongleurs is one of those places that has the know-how and longevity to provide consistently good comedy, which means you won’t be left feeling disappointed at the end of the night. This joint in Battersea is well-rehearsed in the act of up rustling up some laughs – a cabaret-style, moody atmosphere, high quality standup and lots of banter. Originally a 1920s ballroom, the venue has retained its dancing shoes as well as its historical cavernous charm. After the comedy, you can push back your chair and hit the dance floor for a real let-your-hair-down boogie to some dreadful, cheesy tunes. Downstairs is The Rise, a stylish bar for a pre-comedy drink or bite to eat. At weekends live DJs (anything from disco to R&B) make it a lively spot for a fun night out.
