This central London venue is a veritable hive of activity and with four floors it can afford to cram in the events. The Comedy Pub loves hosting live music and does so four nights a week with some very funky bands. And then, obviously, there's the comedy, with previous big-name acts including Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr and Stephen Merchant. There are also comedy sketch and improv performances on Sunday evenings, which are always good if spontaneity and downright silliness are your thing. The emphasis is on fun and creating a lively party whether it's just a normal Saturday night in town or a crunch match for England, shown on one of the big tellys.
