Among the many fine dining options in Mayfair 8 Mount Street stands out for its welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, Mediterranean inspired dishes and 30-foot long Italian marble bar dining counter that runs the length of the room. This 78-seater venue housed in a stunning period building is brought to you by executive chef Adrian Mellor who has headed up kitchens at some of the world's leading five star hotels - the Waldorf Astoria Maldives among them - as well as working as private chef to King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan. Menu options include starters like pecorino creme brulee and mains of grilled marinated lamb cutlets and smoked aubergine and lobster linguini. Beneath the restaurant is Bar Eight, an intimate space with the feel of a private members' club, but without the membership fee, where guests can sip on cocktails made with Japanese green tea infused with Sipsmith gin. The interior, designed by Clement Blanchet, the man behind the 2006 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, features brass panelling, crisp white linen, leather banquettes and carved wooden chairs as well as an eight-cover tiled private dining area with large windows overlooking an outside terrace complete with living wall.
