"This is Noma if Noma was born and raised in Norwich," said Grace Dent reviewing Anglo in Farringdon for the Evening Standard. Heaping the highest of praise on Mark Jarvis and Jack Cashmore's 40-seat restaurant, the Standard food critic highlighted the particular appeal of the pre-dinner snacks: a beetroot crisp filled, a scallop tartare in dashi (Japanese clear soup) and "the star of the show - a tiny, pale green, burnt leek tartlet, which looked like a retro sherbet-filled Flying Saucer and tasted otherworldly." Billed as "accessible modern British fine dining", the interior is pared down but the food is ambitious with a wine pairing menu available featuring Berry Bros bottles matching with melted cheddar on malt loaf and blood orange pudding.
