Ramen bar Bone Daddies brings its hip and hugely popular Japanese noodles to St Christopher's Place. Exclusive to this site, just off Oxford Street, are robata and wok dishes, alongside much-loved Bone Daddies favourites. These include pork bone broth tonkotsu and sweet and spicy pig bones alongside skewers of chicken, ox cheek, prawns and shiitake mushrooms marinated in kimchee butter and sweet chilli ponzu. Wok dishes bring choices of yaki soba - stir-fried buckwheat noodles with egg, cabbage, spring onions - and the vegetarian friendly chahan. The fried chicken and chilli teriyaki salmon make for the perfect starters while the ramen is warming, comforting and delicious. Come hungry, though - they're huge. The two floor space has the atmosphere of a bustling, urban marketplace with repurposed sake crates as stools and a 9 seater L-shaped bar - get a seat here and expect friendly chatter, dish recommendations and the lure of sake and margaritas from the barman. It also offers the opportunity to nose inside the open kitchen. Downstairs there's a hand-painted mural with a red neon Japanese sign, communal table seating for 14 and industrial pendant lights, all set to the restaurant's now legendary rock 'n' roll soundtrack. Cheery staff, delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere - what more could you want from a restaurant?
