Continuing the new trend of London ramen bars, Bone Daddies opened its doors in late 2012. Located just off Wardour Street in Soho, the noodle soup restaurant is dispelling the idea that Japanese food is healthy. Instead, it's serving up hearty, delicious and terribly naughty bowls of slurp worthy soup. Ramen is a traditional Japanese dish that consists of noodles, meat, egg and its star ingredient, stock. The Bone Daddies menu boasts a number of varieties including Tonkotsu Ramen, made up of 20 hour pork bone broth, spring onion and chashu pork; Tantanmen Ramen, chicken bone broth, sesame, chilli, pork mince and bok choy; and Sweet 3 Miso Ramen, a pungent blend of chicken bone broth, corn, wakame, butter and chicken. Side orders of fried chicken, soft shell crab, sashimi and pipettes of animal fat (not for the faint hearted) are also available. With its stripped back interior, classic rock soundtrack and Japanese rockabilly portraits, this is certainly a Japanese restaurant with a twist.
