With a retractable glass facade and a sunlit herb garden Brother Marcus brings a slice of indoor/outdoor living, Brooklyn style, to Balham. Serving all day brunch, Caravan Coffee and cocktails, the bar and event location is the brainchild of three school friends Alex Large, Arthur Campbell and Tasos Gaitanos who all have a passion for food. Brunch, served daily, seasonal salads and freshly baked gluten free cakes like lemon drizzle and almond and orange cakes are the type of thing you get here. Caravan quality green coffee and cold brew coffee, freshly prepared smoothies and shakes, craft beers and cocktails make up the drinks list. The Glover - tequila, ginger beer, pink grapefruit juice and a squeeze of lime - is topped with herbs and greens from the garden. Artwork on the walls is up for sale and supper clubs on select nights show their collaborative side - partnering up with Chicory Kitchen and STAKEhaus to start with.
