Famed for their fried chicken sandwiches Butchies, one of the busiest traders at Broadway Market , has a permanent home on Rivington Street in Shoreditch; you'll see it by its signature red and white signage and rooster lightbox logo. Using only premium quality free range birds, they serve award-winning fried buttermilk chicken sandwiches in soft butter-toasted buns with a selection of specials and sides. Enjoy the signature Dale Cooper (named after Twin Peaks' cult hero detective), made with pickles and homemade garlic and fresh herb aioli, with sides of twice cooked fries or cheese fries with Red Leicester cheese dripping. With Butchies, owner Dublin-born Garrett FitzGerald aims to elevate chicken sandwiches to the same level as our stateside friends, where they're on par with premium hamburgers. He's well on the way to doing just that.
