For top notch rotisserie cooked chicken head to Clockjack Oven, a Soho restaurant which simply serves free range chicken with a choice of salad or chips. Chicken is roasted - using a method founders Jerry Goldberg and Fraser Duncan first sampled in Spain - over a naked flame so the flavours in the skin are preserved while the rotation of the spit ensures the flesh is succulent and tender. And it works. Marinated chicken bites are beautifully moist, the skin golden and crispy. No reservations, you just turn up - there's capacity for about 60 diners at the communal and individual tables with pared down interiors in wood, slate and metal.
