Visitor Information
Serving "modern European food influences wrapped with British attitude", Darkhorse Bar & Restaurant is a relaxed place to dine and drink, brought to East Village by Ian and Lee who previously owned The Fat Delicatessen, Jason Atherton's favourite place to have breakfast. The now-closed deli and tapas bar in Balham had "the best sausage sandwiches in Great Britain" according to the chef and owner of Pollen Street Social , City Social and other places to be social. "The sausages are absolutely sensational," Atherton enthused, writing in the Telegraph , "full of meat and with the right fat content - and they come in moist buns chargrilled with olive oil and a beautifully sweet and sour homemade brown sauce." With Darkhorse Bar & Restaurant as the follow-up to The Fat Delicatessen, it promises to be something rather special.
