Starting life as a small kiosk in Helsinki, Fafa's has grown into a chain with 40 sites across three countries, and in September 2019 the brand brings its street food from Finland to London. Founded by Tel Aviv-born Doron Karavani, Fafa's serves up delicious Mediterranean food including crowd-pleasers such as falafel, halloumi, hummus, goats cheese, pesto, roasted vegetables and feta, all stuffed into their signature pitas. Exclusive flavour combinations, only available at this Monmouth Street branch include grilled prawns with harissa and tzatziki; hot smoked salmon with aubergine; and slow cooked short rib with beetroot tahini. Keeping it inclusive, there are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options and if you're on a low carb diet they cater for you too. Salads include halloumi, avocado and fried eggs or goat's cheese and roasted beetroot supplemented with sides like cauliflower with tahini. Open all day, breakfast options include green herb omelette in pita and cocktails offer a mix of gin and grapefruit soda - a classic Finnish drink, created for the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games.
