Italian chef Francesco Mazzei brings Fiume, a new modern Italian restaurant in the Circus West Village of Battersea Power Station, joining his existing restaurants Sartoria on Savile Row and Radici in Islington. Named after the Italian for 'river', the 120-cover restaurant is - appropriately - right next to the Thames, overlooking the piazza. The terrace, filled with lemon and olive trees, has room for 50 to dine al fresco. Menus pay homage to the Mezzogiorno, the Southern area of Italy that holds a special place in the heart of Francesco, a Calabrian native. Open for brunch, lunch and dinner, zucchini fritti, seafood fregola and tiramisu emerge from the open kitchen with its wood-fired oven. One of 23 restaurants in this area of Battersea Power Station, Fiume is part of the Circus West and sits alongside Pedler Cru, Vagabond wines, Flour Power City Bakery, The CoffeeWorks Project, The General Store supermarket, No 29 Power Station West and mother pizzas.
