Dotted with steakhouses, grills, diners and burger joints, London isn't exactly lacking when it comes to options on where to find a good piece of meat, yet Gillray's Steakhouse & Bar is bursting onto the scene in an attempt to become London's number one. With America being home to the original steakhouse and often considered superior, Gillray's is offering what they simply cannot; everything quintessentially English. Located within the London Marriott Hotel County Hall, the restaurant overlooks the Houses of Parliament so you can eat Pigs in Blanket and English crumpets, nine cuts of high quality English steak and a 1 kilogram butterfly double rib (with the signature dish) while taking in Big Ben and the River Thames. Choose from 29 English gins and 10 specialist English beers from the comfort of a Chesterfield sofa, surrounded by chandeliers and artwork by the famed caricaturist James Gillray from whom the restaurant takes its inspiration.
