Sydney-based TV chef Bill Granger, dubbed the Australian Jamie Oliver, launched his first Granger & Co in Notting Hill in 2011 and, due to its popularity, a larger site in Clerkenwell opened in spring 2014. Not content to stop there, summer of 2015 brings this sizeable third outpost in King's Cross on the ground floor of the Stanley building, originally built in 1864-5 to provide a higher standard of accommodation for King's Cross workers. Best known for its sunny breakfasts and brunches, the Granger & Co menu is a mix of almond milk chia seed pots with berries, pomegranate and coconut yoghurt for breakfast and zingy salads like raw tuna and avocado poke with brown rice, cherry tomatoes, samphire and sesame; or beef shin mole, cauliflower rice, avocado, coriander & tomatillo salsa for lunch. At dinner expect a shrimp burger, jalapeno mayo, shaved radish salad, sesame gochujang as well as sticky chilli pork belly with roast peanuts, lime and coconut dressing.
