Green Man & French HornThe two men behind the highly successful Terroirs group, Ed Wilson and Oli Barker, have come to Covent Garden with the Green Man & French Horn, a French restaurant with a strong leaning towards the Loire region and specialising in French biodynamic wines. The St Martin's Lane restaurant, housed in a former pub of the same name is unlike previous Terroirs establishments - Terroirs located nearby just off the Strand, Brawn on Columbia Road and Soif in Battersea - in that it offers a seafood section and concentrates on one particular area of France. This translates into a menu which includes fine de Claire oysters, clams, and rabbit in cider sauce. An interior filled with banquettes, candlelight and exposed brick creates an intimate atmosphere and relaxed vibe. Also interesting is the decision of the group's co-founder, Ed Wilson - who was previously head chef at Sonny's in Barnes and who also worked at Galvin Bistrot de Luxe - to base himself in the kitchen here.
