Offering affordable Japanese-fusion cuisine in a New York-style setting, Kyashii is a stylish restaurant, sushi bar and champagne lounge a stone's throw from Covent Garden. Kyashii offers four dining spaces, including the downstairs White Room, the intimate and subterranean Blue Room (complete with panoramic fish tank - talk about fresh sushi), and the Premium Dining Suite which overlooks the kitchen. But by far the most relaxed option is to eat in the large ground floor brasserie, where guests can dine at the polished granite sushi counter, at a table or al fresco on the outdoor terrace. Kyashii used to be located in the basement of the Kingly Club but has now been expanded and relaunched. New head chef Jacky Yu used to work at Zuma and has a contemporary and inventive take on Japanese cuisine. Besides her fresh sashimi and nigiri, Yu's signature dishes include grilled black cod fillet, pan-friend beef fillet, and foie gras butter with Chilean sea bass. Set lunch menus start at ?13.50, there's a well-stocked bar, and DJs play until late in the mezzanine champagne lounge.Kyashii images
