This little Parisian bistro has found a home on the King's Road, in Chelsea, and earns its keep producing simple and traditional dishes that should please all fans of French cooking. Le Troquet's dining room has been decked out in the appropriate attire, exposed brick walls are adorned with the retro enamel advertising signs you'd expect to find on stalls along the Seine. Food wise they follow a very classic Gallic theme, French onion soup, escargot, foie gras, moules and steak tartare all feature. The dessert menu also sticks to firm favourites, creme brulee and tarte tatin sit alongside a tempting selection of French fromages. They also have a strong selection of wine, picked thoughtfully to represent the variety in French vineyards, choose from big name labels or a little-known organic producer. Le Troquet is an ideal destination for a post-shopping bite to eat, romantic meal or gastronomic taste trip to Paris.
