With queues stretching around the corner at their MEATliquor restaurant carnivores can rest easy now that Yianni Papoutsis and Scott Collins, the team behind the hugely popular meat eateries which began with the MEATwagon burger van, are opening a second permanent home in Covent Garden. MEATmarket is found on the mezzanine level inside Covent Garden's Jubilee Market, serving what are widely regarded as the best burgers in town - the long queues are testament to the meat-y goodness in each burger. The Covent Garden restaurant aims to fulfill the needs of the lunch-time crowd with take-aways offered alongside the restaurant service. The menu features their famous burgers and hot dogs - along with a few new additions. Look out for Corn Dogs, Philly Cheesesteak hot dog and the Black Palace Burger - double burger with cheese, pickles, grilled onions, ketchup and mustard. With diners prepared to queue at their MEATliquor restaurant for up to 90 minutes, even 6 months after opening, let's hope MEATmarket finally satisfies London's huge appetite for MEAT.
