Found within the Sheraton London Park Lane Hotel, Mercante brings fresh and seasonal Italian food to Mayfair. With its own dedicated entrance and a vast, beautiful space, the restaurant is a destination in itself that will appeal to hotel guests and visitors alike. Walls are adorned with eye-catching illustrations and a map of Italy while elegant 1920s touches pay homage to the hotel's history. Diners can choose between the smaller dining room with intimate booths, the grand main dining room or the south-facing terrace, making it perfect for all occasions and group sizes. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Mercante offers a new Italian food market concept inspired by the bustling markets of Rome, Venice and Napoli, with dishes influenced by all regions of Italy. The menu is regularly changing dependant on the season but expect options such as grilled mackerel salad with wild fennel; rabbit alla cacciatora (summer rabbit stew); and roast chicken with peppers. Handmade to a high standard, the pasta, gnocchi and focaccia offer a true taste of Italy while the light and flavoursome tiramisu is worth the trip alone.
