Taking inspiration from the Berlin bar scene, Number 177 offers a lively mix of DJs, German beers, Schnitzel burgers and Jagermeister ice creams. Brought to the streets of Hoxton by The Number Group who've already had success with sister venue, Number 90 Bar & Kitchen in Hackney Wick, this is a restaurant and bar with gallery space, graffiti art and creative workshops as well as pub quizzes and bingo. T he 350 capacity venue is split into two sections, a main restaurant and bar, and a back club room. Decorated in an industrial style, metal poker lights hang over chunky tables that fold up against the walls to make for more dancing space. Downstairs a bright orange formica photoautomat booth is situated outside the unisex bathrooms.
