With five branches across London, Obica puts mozzarella in the spotlight with an Italian menu themed around its star ingredient, mozzarella. The restaurants use fresh Mozzarella di Bufala and quality ingredients sourced directly from top farmers and producers to create simple and tempting dishes. Set in the affluent neighbourhood of Chelsea, this original Draycott Avenue branch is a bright, modern and inviting spot that is perfect for everything from a leisurely lunch to an evening bite. The square centrepiece bar, meanwhile, is ideal for a glass of wine and a few nibbles. Diners can choose between a number of Mozzarella di Bufala dishes partnered with the likes of air-cured pork leg, air-dried top round beef and whipped salt cod or heartier options such as a selection of pizzas. The restaurant is also the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend brunch. The menu puts a cheesy, Italian twist on recognisable brunch dishes with options such as smoked salmon and prosciutto cotto arrosto served with poached or scrambled eggs, stracciatella di burrata and roasted marinated artichokes. Further options include two salads, both of which have been given an exciting twist using ingredients such as blueberries, pomegranate and toasted pine nuts, and a selection of indulgent Italian doughnuts. It's a great alternative for those who want a lighter, yet still delicious, take on brunch.
