A wonderful vegetarian cafe on the stunning Sicilian Avenue in Holborn, Orchard is a sister site to Vanilla Black in Chancery Lane, maintaining the same quality of food and service. The frequently changing menu offers inventive vegetarian food - which meat eaters can also enjoy - and a friendly atmosphere is created by the efficient staff. "There's a lot more cooking going on than you might expect" for a cafe of this size, noted John Lanchester in The Guardian, who praised its "rich and creamy" potato soup and its puddings which are a speciality.
