The South Bank is a lovely spot for a Thames-side stroll in summer but if you want to turn an outing into a special occasion book in at Patch and Picnic . This pop up by Jimmy Garcia offers outdoors games, picnic platters and hampers as well as G&Ts and chilled glasses of rose. A hamper for four comes with b utcher's game pie, roast Mediterranean vegetable tart and pepperdew peppers stuffed with feta. If you want something more meaty than a picnic, you can get street food from the BBQ Club pop up next door. Reserve your patch of riverside space - four available areas seat between six and 12 people - and you'll get VIP treatment with summer lawn games including boules, beach tennis and swing-ball thrown in.
