Set up by the Gladwin brothers - who have already proved they can cook and run a successful restaurant with The Shed in Notting Hill - Kings Road brasserie Rabbit brings a taste of the country to town through 'British Wild Food' with an emphasis on seasonal British, wild and foraged produce. Having grown up on a farm in Sussex they're the real deal when it comes to sourcing - "Gregory raises livestock and digs and delves in Nutbourne, West Sussex, near the family vineyard" wrote Fay Maschler in the London Evening Standard who "enthusiastically" recommends the brown crab bomb 'mouthful'. Rod Liddle loves the place, giving the food five stars and the restaurant an overall 9 out of 10 in the Sunday Times Magazine. And when speaking to The Telegraph, Oliver - who invented the mushroom marmite, just one of their "ingenious" recipes - highlighted, "a playful twist on ham, eggs and pineapple, using pine-apple weed, emulsified eggs and crispy pig's head" which features on the menu. Not only does the majority of the meat - pork, lamb and beef - come from Gregory's farm, but their parents' wine is sold at both of the Gladwin brothers restaurants.
