This restaurant produces exceptional modern food with all the fine-dining trimmings; the service is exceptional, the wine list is intelligent and the setting is simply sublime. W1 Restaurant is home to possibly the most mood-enhancing chandeliers in London, the shimmering Spina crystals drape provocatively above antique French furniture, a choice made by talented interior designer Kelly Hoppen. The food follows a similar classical theme with strong French influences, foie gras and pink duck feature on the menu alongside poached meringues and Champagne rhubarb. There are lighter menus available for daytime grazing, and full heady portions for evening feasts.
