Following the success of Street Feast residencies Rola Wala serves up authentic, healthy, every day Indian fast food at its first permanent London site, in Brushfield Street in Spitalfields. Placing as much emphasis on healthy eating as big flavours founder Mark Wright offers masala black bean noodles and slow roasted Nagaland lamb without a korma in sight. Catering particularly well for vegetarians, you can choose hot brown rice khicheree, masala black bean noodles with charred broccoli or cauliflower rice and kale bowl. This is health conscious Indian food you can eat every day, with gluten-free, low carb, and vegan options and with no dish having more than 500 calories. With a design that mixes Indian roadside diners with a festival feel, metal shelving stocked high with spice jars, the cafe has the vibrant, upbeat feel of a Bombay beach hut.
