Open for 10 months only, Rotary Bar & Diner is a short-term venture from the Rushmore Group who also own Milk & Honey and The Player in Soho and Danger of Death on Brick Lane. Right by Old Street roundabout, the two-floor space includes a Rotary Room, complete with wine room and members club (below Rotary Bar & Diner, members only), and outside Yum Bun is serving slow roasted belly pork and veggie buns from the street. Inside, the '60s designed diner features buttermilk fried chicken rolls, smoked pork belly ribs, and grilled steaks, washed down with craft beer. On Fridays and Saturdays there's a late licence until 4am which will no doubt come as music to the ears of East London party goers looking for a post-club hangout. And they might even get a cure for the morning after - if the opening hours are extended to include Sunday brunch and lunch (a possibility, once they're up and running). Be among the first to try it out at the soft opening from 25th to 28th February, 10am to late, when there's 25 per cent off the food bill.
