After a successful run on the street food circuit with KERB, and having been a Young British Foodies Street Food finalist in 2016, Grace Regan's SpiceBox has its first permanent location in Walthamstow in 2019. This all-vegan curry house specialises in meat-free versions of Indian classics. Street Bites like the Loaded Onion Bhaji and Pani Puri - puffed puris filled with chickpeas - are listed alongside mains including the Chickn Tikka Massala, a creamy curry house classic with tandoori chickn pieces and crunchy green peppers. The SpiceBox classic Jackfruit Jalfrezi is a spicy curry cooked with peppers, onions and jackfruit and the Brinjal Bhaji brings charred smoky aubergine and peas in a rich tomato gravy. Cobra beers, an IPA from Walthamstow's Wild Card Brewery, wine and cocktails are served along with soft drinks like mango lassi and turmeric latte. Grace has designed the interiors herself, using bright colours for the 30 cover restaurant which includes a cosy waiting area for takeaway customers.
