Street XO is David Munoz's more accessible younger sibling to Diver XO, Madrid's only three Michelin starred restaurant. Creating his first restaurant outside Spain, David returns to the city where it all started - previously at Nobu and Hakkasan, Munoz calls London his second home. Fun and frenetic, Munoz's is an upbeat approach to cooking yet intricate dishes - like Pekinese dumpling with crunchy pig's ear or octopus with bone marrow foam and churros - appear like works of art. There's little delineation between chefs and waiters as both weave in and out from the kitchen. Stained wood, deep red marble and concrete alongside exposed pipework and salvaged fixtures from a container ship create an industrial backdrop to the dramatic artworks and neon light installations. A fun night out from the enfant terrible of Spanish gastronomy.
