With a name like Super Pizza you'd expect the principal focus of this Brick Lane establishment to be slices of Italian's most famous export. Not so. The pizza slices are good, but the emphasis is on the coffee, which the owners aim to be "the best in the world". It's a bold statement, but it cannot be denied that the coffee at Super Pizza is excellent - plus the whole experience is much more wholesome than, say, visiting a nondescript highstreet chain. Housed in an old antiques shop, Super Pizza has industrial concrete surfaces, vintage furnishings, intimate booths, some cool mis-matching chairs and comfy sofas - as well as free Wifi. It also has a licence so customers can enjoy a beer or a glass of wine alongside their coffee and pizza. But just as the name Super Pizza hides half the truth, so too does the whole establishment - for located within is a private members drinking bar, Danger of Death, brought to you by the people behind Soho's Milk & Honey. It has a Speakeasy feel to it and is definitely worth checking out - as is Super Pizza.
