Having started out as an 18-month pop-up in Hoxton, The Dolls House found a permanent home on Upper Street in Islington in February 2015 and set up a second Dolls House in Peckham just four months later. Adam Towner and Katy Rosewarne, the duo behind the Dolls House, like to draw on the decor with permanent marker pen, creating a playful environment in which to enjoy food - think 45 day aged Dexter sirloin with horseradish creme fraiche - and cocktails which add a twist on traditional concoctions like Amaretto, Whisky or Pisco Sour, Negroni and Old Fashioneds. Grilled guinea fowl supreme with anchovy Aioli and dehydrated tomato, black bream with Cornish crab and ravigote potatoes and deconstructed lemon and lime meringue pie are also typical of the dishes you'll find on the menu. The space, a new take on the old Clayton Arms, is split between The Parlour, a public bar, and The Ballroom, a restaurant which becomes a private members' area after 11pm. The Peckham Dolls House will also have some al fresco seating and, as with previous ventures, the price of membership is a bottle of high-end booze.
