Playing tribute to Smithfield's meat-trading traditions, The Grill on the Market offers solid and honest food that's ideal for hearty appetites. The fuss-free menu focuses on strong flavours with the likes of artisan bread served with beef dripping , Scottish mussels in cider and chorizo, and double baked cheese soufflé all featuring on the menu. However, the main focus is on their meat and seafood - diners can choose between fine steaks, hand-pressed burgers or various seafood options, including a whole grilled kilo lobster. A posh take on surf and turf is also available, putting an end to deliberations between sirloin steak, baby scallops, prawns and crayfish. Also, new for 2013 is the restaurant's Sparkling Brunch which runs every Saturday morning and treats diners to unlimited Prosecco during their meal.
