On the second floor of the second tallest building in London, The Market combines a restaurant and terrace with a wine bar and street-food style kiosks run by young foodies. The modern food hub, with room for 450 people, is open to the 12,000 office workers in the 'vertical village' at 22 Bishopsgate and members of the public outside office hours. The 20,000-square-foot food hall, where talks, music and private events are also held, is run by leading hospitality group rhubarb and champions upcoming talent via The Young British Foodies. Visit The YBFs - hotly-tipped culinary stars of the future - in the street food space which not only shines a spotlight on future tastemakers but also gives diners more choice. The design of The Market is a modern interpretation of the guild, giving a contemporary twist to the craftsmanship found in London's historic guild halls. Architectural arches and stained glass are reminders of those great halls but in a contemporary, understated style where natural timbers, light concrete and neutral stones have been used. Open to the public outside business hours and on Saturdays, The Market is the ideal place to discover new food talent followed by a trip to London's highest free public viewing gallery - at the top of 22 Bishopsgate.
