Visitor Information
The Royal Quarter Cafe occupies the ground floor of Wellington House, a striking ten storey mixed use building on a corner site between Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. The 70-seat cafe is the fourth premises in London from the Quarter Group which was launched in 2006 by restaurateurs Doron and Valeria Zilkha. It joins the Chelsea Quarter Cafe on the King's Road, the River Quarter Kitchen in Battersea, and the Heal's Quarter Cafe Express in Heal's on Tottenham Court Road. The menu is a mix of seasonal, healthy comfort food including brioche with poached pears, Parma ham with red pesto on foccacia and crispy duck salad. Homemade bread and pastries, all-day breakfast, sandwiches and soups, sharing plates, hearty salads, afternoon tea, and cakes and tarts, are all available to eat in or take-away. A light interior is created by white walls and floor-to-ceiling windows, with green leather chairs and brown banquettes, wood panelled walls and oak tables. Outdoor seating available.
