Opened in June 2015, The Truscott Cellar is the second London venture from Andrew and Mary Jane Fishwick, who are also responsible for award-winning gastropub the Truscott Arms in Maida Vale. Set over two floors, the sixty-cover wine bar has no shortage of choice, with around 300 wines on offer and more than 50 by the glass. Small British plates are also on the menu, inspired by the bar menu at the Truscott Arms and created by former head chef at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Aidan McGee. Dishes such as mushroom Welsh rarebit and slow braised beef cheek with smoke mash are among the options, as well as British charcuterie, British cheeses and a Billingsgate fish board. With a dark wood and marble theme, it's an intimate and 'sexy' spot to enjoy casual dining and good wine.
