Burberry have expanded their already impressive Regent Street flagship store by opening their first ever in-store restaurant. Opened in June 2015, Thomas's is a glamorous all-day café that, in keeping with the Britishness of the brand, serves an entirely British menu. Dishes are all made from the finest seasonal produce from small farmers and artisan suppliers across the UK, with the menu including lobster and chips, lamb rump with courgette fritters, salmon and scrambled eggs, oysters, and a range of rolls and toasties. Afternoon tea will also be served daily, with scones from the Aga, hot buttered crumpets, toasted tea cakes, Bakewell tart, eccles cake and many more traditional British treats. The interior continues the British theme, with Art Deco touches such as lantern chandeliers, large windows, and black and white marble floors, while a gifting area houses seasonal gifts that can be wrapped and personalised for your loved ones. It's ingenuity like this that will lure shoppers from their smart phones back into the stores.
