Specialising in fresh, reasonably priced sushi made from sustainable fish, Ukai's first outlet opened in Notting Hill in 2006 and now there are restaurants in Westbourne Grove and Clapham. In the Japanese language, Ukai is the traditional term for fishing practiced for some 1,300 years using Cormorant birds to catch sweetfish. Ukai offers a culturally rich Japanese experience in a contemporary setting. Many of its various Japanese inspired products including flower teas (which blossoms in front of your eyes) and delicate incense are
now available to be purchased. There is also a delivery service available all day.
