A neighbourhood restaurant for Brockley with locals at its heart parlez can be summed up in three words: seasonal, affordable, inclusive. The restaurant, a year in the making, has been brought about by two friends, Matt, who runs The White Horse pub in Brixton and Louis who looks after artist development for Brixton broadcaster Reprezent. Music and art are just as carefully considered as the food which includes the full English for breakfast, open pastrami sourdough sandwiches for lunch and slow cooked pork belly in the evenings. Curated playlists complement the food while art from tastemakers like Keith Haring and Stones Throw Records adorn the walls. Together they make parlez a restaurant that reflects the spirit of Brockley.
