What a sweet idea. London's first bar serving only cocktails and desserts, Basement Sate combines inventive cocktails made with unusual ingredients like seaweed and salted caramel, with a choice of six seductive sweets. But these are not your typical after dinner treats. The dessert menu has been created by Dorian Picard, a French pastry chef who has worked for the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Pascal Aussignac. It's all served up in a basement bar in Soho, complete with exposed brick work, copper topped tables and intimate lighting.
