Paddles at the ready! Europe's first social ping-pong club has arrived in London and, quite brilliantly, is built in the exact spot that table tennis was invented way back in 1901. Bounce is the brainchild of All Star Lanes founder Dov Penzik and was created by acclaimed British designer Russell Sage (The Hospital Club and The Savoy). A raised restaurant overlooks the playing area, which features 17 table tennis tables, including one official Olympic table. Food comes in the form of posh pizzas from a wood burning oven, bold meaty stews and whole roasted chickens. Refreshments are served from a 40ft arc bar and include classic gin cocktails, boutique beers and a short yet concise wine selection. There is a private room available for hire, equipped with private cocktail bar, specially commissioned tables and a DJ booth. It looks like ping-pong just got a whole lot cooler.
