Coquine on Old Brompton Road is the latest bar/club from the team behind Chelsea hangout The Valmont Club - both are run by Dipak Panchal and Zack Barakat. Launching on 1st April 2010 (no joke), Coquine is an intimate 140 capacity venue spread over two floors, combining a cocktail lounge with a 75 cover restaurant where you'll find a fusion of French cuisine and international tapas. The French influence extends beyond the menu to the interior decor with Victorian tiles, Persian carpet lights and a specially created vintage crystal light pendant adding old school touches to the contemporary style. Open seven days a week, it's only when the weekend is in sight, from Thursday to Saturday, that Coquine really gets lively with DJs pumping out the music from 10pm till late.
