A craft brewery and pizzeria overlooking the canal, Crate Brewery offers a unique location to enjoy a pizza and a pint in a former print factory in Hackney Wick. Located within The White Building, the micro-brewery itself is a good reason to visit this part of east London - which is attracting visitors once again with the reopening of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Launched in late July 2012, at the time of the Olympics, Crate soon attracted a loyal crowd of locals. Perfect for a summer's evening, there's an outside area to sit and sup a pint of Crate Lager, Golden Ale, India Pale Ale, Best Bitter or Crate Stout, all lovingly brewed on-site. Soak up the booze with a stone baked pizza - there are typically seven or so choices including unusual combinations of Middle Eastern lamb with pinenuts and pieces of apricot; red onion, courgette feta and gremolata; and Laksa chicken.
