Away from the tourist traps of Coven Garden is Italian wine bar Dalla Terra, positioned within the pedestrianised St Martin's Courtyard. General manager and founding partner Giuseppe Gullo, a Sicilian formerly at Negozio Classica in Notting Hill, has put together a wide selection of wines, with close to 200 by the bottle and 30 by the glass. Chef Araldo De Vitis, who has previously worked at the award-winning St John Bar & Restaurant and Hereford Road, has put together a menu with small dishes, sharing boards of antipasti and specials like cheese wrapped in culatello ham and grilled radicchio, and asaparagus with poached duck egg in a savoury pancake to complement the wines.
