Haggerston Tearoom is a newly opened shop, in a parade of shops on Haggerston Road next to Stonebridge Gardens. It is a couple of minutes walk from Haggerston rail station, and cyclists and walkers along the Regents Canal can use the exit points on Dunston Road to stop off for a pot of freshly brewed tea from the award winning Sussex Tea Company, while they browse the internet via its free WiFi, munch grilled toasties made using St John's artisan bread and Neal's Yard Montgomery cheddar, savour locally made artisan cakes and purchase locally sourced jams and preserves. The Haggerston Tearoom's ethos is to revive the long, almost forgotten rich history and romantic relationship Britain has had with tea and in particular in East London, where tea would arrive on ships like the famous Cutty Sark. Customers can experience the great British institutional experience of afternoon tea and high tea at Haggerston Tearoom, which is served in its own unique way. Choose the tea leaf of your preference from over sixty varieties.
