Opposite Kensington Palace, an area not known for its nightlife, Hyde Kensington cocktail bar has a drinks list by world class bartender Andy Mil and artwork by leading artist JJ Adams. The discreet entrance guides you to a warmly lit space with walls decorated with life-size art pieces surrounding spacious booths and plush sofas. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturday nights a hidden door at the back slides open to reveal the dance floor where revellers can dance the night way until 3am. Pan-Asian food from chef Adi Gunawan, who worked previously under Ian Pengelly for eight years including a stint at Gilgamesh, goes perfectly with a Mad Matter cocktail - which comes in a smoking glass teapot.
