Taking a holistic approach to sustainability, Kiss the Hippo opened their flagship Richmond cafe in 2018 followed a year later by this Fitzrovia coffee shop on Margaret Street in central London. A minimalist space, the light filled cafe offers two spacious floors, decorated in beech wood and Scandinavian-style furniture as well as lots of natural light pouring in from the cafe's large windows. As well as award-winning coffee - created at their Soil Association-certified organic roastery in Richmond - breakfast, brunch and lunch menus are part of the package. Made with fresh, seasonal ingredients from sustainable local farms and suppliers, choices include healthy vegan fare like the vegan banana cake, hearty classics like mushrooms on sourdough toast with black olive tapenade and shaved Italian cheese. Looking for something sweet? Among the decadent desserts and baked goods is the much-loved cinnamon roll, smothered in white chocolate icing.
