During the week, The Colonies is packed with after-work drinkers from the Victoria area. Tucked away in a little side street near St James's Park, the wood-panelled pub has a great range of hand-pump beers as well as a standard range of lagers and wines. There's a great beer garden round the back which is excellent when the sun's out - but don't try coming on the weekend because it's closed.
